Narrative Description

Public Works Department and Office of Urban Planning Control and Building Inspection see the need of regulations for the construction of buildings with special features and residential buildings and have the opinion to establish building regulations appropriate to the construction conditions in Thailand after compiling data, study in depth and clear analysis. Therefore the Consultant was hired to carried out the study, analysis and compiling regulations regarding construction of building with special features and residential buildings to prepare a complete building code for building construction that can assure the safety of life and assets of the people as follows:
1.Study, analysis on building codes (regulations) including relevant standards for building with special features and residential buildings.
2.Study various impacts and obstacle problems from the building codes (regulations).
3.Arrange public hearing for obtaining public opinion on building codes and how to revise the existing building practice appropriately.
4.Prepared Standards or Building Practice Manual and displayed them in the documents and websites of the Public Works Department.
 

Services Description

The scopes of services are as followings:
•Preparation of detailed data and information for Building Codes and relevant Standards.
•Study and Analysis of Building Codes (regulations) for the construction of buildings with special features and residential buildings.
•Compilation of relevant data including by the use of questionnaires and interviews or public hearing on the problems and obstructions caused by the present building practice for use as the basis or components in preparation of relevant building codes and standards.
•Study, analyze, evaluate and develop the data compiled as in item 3.
•Preparation of building codes and relevant standards.
•Study the various impact and obstruction problems following the building codes.
•Arrange public hearing to have public opinion on the building practice following the building codes and relevant standards.
•Made conclusion of the study and prepared Standards & Manual, and displayed major revisions of the regulations on the documents and websites of the Public Works Department.
