Narrative Description

Nam Ngum 3 Hydropower Dam Project is located on the Nam Ngum River which is the major tributaries of the Mekong River in the north of the Lao PDR ban Long Chen of Xaisomboun special distsrict which is 280 kilometers to the north of Vientiane. The nature of the dam is a Concrete-faced rock fill Dam with a height of 220 m and a length of 500 m dam will be built at the narrowest part of the Nam Ngum River making the reservoir to have a capacity of 1,316 million cubic meters. Water in the reservoir will be let to flow in the water tunnel of 7.5 m diameter with a length of 10.6 km to the power plant. 

 

Services Description

Consultancy services consisting of:
•Providing consultancy in evaluation of tender documents,   contract documents, Contractor’s cost estimates and working plans on occupational health, safety and environmental protection, and document management
•Updating construction schedule including the schedule of  contractor
•Design review including additional survey for Spillway area and Power Intake reviewing the nature of the Powerhouse support system 
•Preparation of construction drawings
•Preparation of design components report
•Drafting of damage assessment and making recommendations for mitigation report
