Narrative Description

Kantang Port in Trang Province is located on the edge of Trang River in Tambon  Kangtan, Ampoe Kangtang, Trang Province is at present Kangtang Port Phase 1 having very poor and defective and the Department of Water Transportation and Maritime ordered closed banning the use due to the fear that there will be no safety department and new port is designed which is a being port a container for berthing of container vessels as the replacement Kangtang Port Phase 1. So the department has hired a consultant to study Environmental Impact. After the preparation of the Environmental Impact Report the environmental impact protection and proposed measures to prevent and reduction of environmental impact and measures to monitor environmental quality are proposed. Therefore, the Department has hired a consultant for monitoring environmental quality during demolition and construction periods Kangtang Port construction.

Services Description

Consulting Services in monitoring of environmental quality in construction consists of:
• Check the details of the construction by reviewing work plan and the technical details   of the various construction projects components to compare with the details proposed in the report.
• Monitoring the implementation of measures to prevent and reduce environmental impact by   monitoring the actual performance of the Contractors compared to the mitigation measures specified in the report.
• Environmental Quality Monitoring and preparation of a report on the implementation of measures to prevent and   reduce the impact and the results of monitoring environment including water quality, biological properties of water,   air and noise including project public relations.
