Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment for Construction of Damming the Chao Phraya River and Nan River for Inland Water Transport

Narrative Description

    The main objective is to encourage the promotion of Inland Waterway transport by reason of its saving on fuel and being the economical form of Transport.  In addition to this; it renders the main river a full use as a transport route.  The important task is to raise the water level (least available depth equal 3 meters) so that the vessels can travel along the entire Chao Phraye River stretch.  Therefore, the consultant will proceed the feasibility study of economic, engineering and environmental. The of Chao Phraya river will be dredged at stretch from km. 186 (in the area of Amphoe Chaiyo, Angtong Province to km.270 in the area of Amphoe Sappaya, Chainat Province and Nan river from the confluence with Chao Phaya river through Amphoe Tapanhin Pichit Province.  Two barrages will be constructed in Chao Phraya river at Km. 205 at Tambon Ban Phra Ngam, Amphoe Phromburi, Singburi Province and at Km.345 at Tambon Namsong, Amphoe Phayuhakiri, Nakhonsawan Province.

Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment Study Following :
•To perform for economic study concerning the revenue of the transportation of the cargo which will be shifted from the northern part of the Chao Phraya river, to and fro, he Bangkok Port or Koh Sichang Port at the estuaries of Chao Phraya river, by the vessels go along the Chao Phraya river and also the study for NPV IRR and B/C
•Preliminary design for two barrages which will be constructed in Chao Phraya river and the facility structures such as navigation Lock, fish ladders, earth-dam, hydro - power plant and Port maintenance. 
•Study and design for project management, right from planning, development of the project and organizational management in the long run.
•Environmental Impact Assessment Study.
