Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Detailed Design for the Construction of Training Jetty at Pak Duad Channel

Narrative Description

The project is divided into two phases, the feasibility study phase and the detailed design phase.  The first phase takes about 6 months to find the most suitable alternative for improving of Pak Duad Channel mouth for the fishing boat can pass through all year round.  The study consists of 3 main aspects : economic, engineering and environmental study.  After the study report are approved, the consultant will continue the second phase for detailed design, which will takes time about 4 months.  The work consist detailed design report, construction drawing, specification, bill of quantity and tender documents.

Services Description

The scope of services are as followings:
•Feasibility Study Phase:
Engineering Study
-Collecting and inspecting various documents related to navigation and dredging at Pak Duad Channel.
-Site investigation including : topographic survey, bathemetry survey, hydrology survey, geotechnical survey and other necessary site survey for data in setting the master plan and coastal structures design.
-Studying type and site of fishing boats or other kind of boat using Pak Duad Channel.
-Studying the coastal process by using the mathemetical models.
-Submit at least three alternatives for improving of Pak Duad Channel and suggestion the most suitable alternative one.
Economic study
-Investigating and collecting data related to fishing activities and other activities relevant to the development of the channel.
-Analyze and predict the future trend of channel use.
-Collecting the total investment cost and maintenance cost from engineering and environmental study, and evaluate the economic and social benefit generate by development of the project.
-Conducting the economic analysis in terms of EIRR, NPV and B/C ratio.
Initial Environmental Impact Evaluation
-Study the existing condition data in the study area.
-Conduct the initial environmental evaluation of the project.
-Suggest the mitigation measures and monitoring program during construction period and after construction period.
•Detailed Design Phase:
-Collecting all necessary map for engineering design.
-Collecting all engineering design data such as current direction and velocity, designed wave data, water level, geotechnical data and conduct the additional site survey (if necessary).
-Conduct the detailed design of any structures proposed in the master plan.
-Estimate the construction cost, maintenance cost and suggest the construction method and construction schedule.
