Environmental Impact Assessment of the Proposed Themal Power Plant at Surat Thani

Narrative Description

     The Combined Cycle Power Plant at Surat Thani Province is developed by The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).  The project is located at the former Surat Thani Power Plant in Phunpin district. The power plant is 600 MW capacity using natural gas and diesel oil as fuel.  The Environmental Impact of this project are air, noise and wastewater from the operation of the power plant.  The mitigation measures and monitoring program were recommended in the EIA report.

Services Description

Environmental Impact Assessment for the construction of the project includes the following:
•Collection of relevant data and reconnaissance survey of the project site.
•Study of the existing condition of environmental resources/value in the study area     covering physical resources, biological resources, Human Used Value and Quality
  of Life
•Survey of Attitude, Public Opinion from the target area which may effect by
   the   project. Prepare Public Participation Project plan.
•Assessment of the impact from project expansion development to environmental  resources/value and risk assessment during construction and operation phases.
•Recommendation of mitigation measures to reduce the adverse effects and  environmental monitoring program.
