Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of the 13th Asian Games Main Stadium, Aquatic Center, Plaza and Associated Works

Narrative Description

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) proceeded with the construction of the 13th Asian Games Main Stadium at Rangsit, Pratum Thani province, to be used for the 13th Asian Games held in Bangkok  in the year 1998.  Aftercompletion of the games MOF was to transfer these facilities to Thammasart University, Rangsit to be utilizedfor institutional and educational purposes and also as 
the training center of international athletes and sportsmen. SEATEC was appointed by the Ministry of Finance to undertake the supervision of construction works for thisimportant project.  The work consist of:
•Main stadium and athletic arena of 20,000 seats with
-400 m. racing yard of IAAF standard
-football ground of FIFA standard
-related facilities on the floor area of 15,300 m2
-score boards and other racing equipments
•Aquatic center for 5,500 seats with
-warmup  pool 50 x 25 m, 3 m. depth
-diving pool 33 x 25 m, 5 m. depth
-polo pool 50 x 25 m, 2 m. depth including scoreboards and electrical systems
-96,000 m2 for plaza and car park
-landscaping and drainage services

Services Description

Project construction supervision the works as follow:
•Supervision of construction of architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and sanitary systems
•Supervision of construction of road, parking and drainage syste
•Supervision of installation of related equipments
•Monitoring of work schedule
•Reviewing and checking the shop drawings submitted by the contractors.
