Narrative Description

          To implement the section A of Route 3 from Hoay Xay to Ban Sod was fund by the government of Thailand. The Consulting services included detail engineer design and supervision of the Thai funded section Route 3 in the Lao PDR. The total distance of Thai Funded Section is 84.2 km, additional Bypass Road of 6 km and Town Road in Hoay Xai of 8.3 km.

Services Description

Project Management survey detail design construction supervision the work included the follows :
Detailed engineering and supervisor of the Thai funded section of Route 3 from Hoay Xay to Ban Pimolsin. (30 km)

Detail engineering design included : 
•Review the data and document of major interest include
-Condition of bridges and cross drainage structure
-Sub-surface data and geotechnical data
•Carry out topographic survey, including horizontal and Vertical alignments and cross-section.
•Carry out the soil investigation on materials found along the road alignment with sample to be taken at suitable intervals, particular attention shall be paid to sub-surface condition at bridge sites.
•Produce the detailed of road design ; Geometry design, Typical section, Junction and intersection, Drainage Design.

Supervision of Construction included :
•Project management of the Thai Funded Section R3 from Hoay Xay to Ban Sod.
•Construction supervision of the project comprising embankment filling, roadway excavation, widenening of existing bridges, construction of new bridges, drainage structures, pavement construction, finishing surfaced and traffic facilities.
•Monitoring of Construction schedule.
•Approval of the construction materials, shop drawings and buit drawings.
•Co-ordination between the constructors and client.
•Preparation of construction progress report.
