Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of Laem Chabang Deep Sea Port Project

Narrative Description

        The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) established the new deep sea port located at Sri Racha District, Chonburi Province. The deep sea port designated as a commercial port mainly to accommodated container ships of 50,000 DWT and agri-bulk carriers. The port comprises 3 container terminals, 1 multi-purpose terminal, 1 coastal terminal, 1 tapioca terminal, 1 sugar/molasses terminal, port buildings, warehouse, road and railway, and breakwater. The total construction area was 12,000,000 m2 and an area of 800,000 m2 was reserved for future expansion.

 

Services Description

Project construction supervision the works as follow components: :
•Breakwater, rubble-mound type of 1,300 m long.
•Dredging work of about 12 million m3 for the approach channel, fairway and port basin.
•Revetment of about 6,000 m of retaining bank.
•Land reclamation of about 9.2 million m3.
•Wharf construction: 850 m for the container marine terminal and break bulk terminal, 300 m for coastal shipping terminal and service boat berth.
•52 concrete caissons dia 11.5 m width x 23.90 m length and 16.5 m height 
•Port buildings.
•Yard pavements of 70,900 m2.
•Roadway connecting the port to Sukhumvit Highway and to the north pier of 5,534 m. long and within port area of 7,860 m. long.
•Railway in the port area of 9,120 m. long.
•Piers for agri-bulk terminal and sugar/molasses terminal.
•Utilities Systems:
-Water Supply System of 230 m3/day.
-Power Supply System of 12,500 KVA
-Sewerage System of 545 m3/day.
-Telecommunications,Gas Station:  Gasoline  20,000 litre/day and Diesel 17,000 litre/day
