Narrative Description

Monitoring of environmental quality during operation period of 2007 Phuket International Airport is to conduct environmental quality monitoring during operation period of the Phuket Airport in accordance with the resolution of the Environment Committee National Meeting No. 3/2548 held on 2 March 2005 according to the Letter No. 1008/2986, dated March 17, 2005 and assigned AOT conduct environmental impact protection and mitigation measures to reduce the environmental impacts and environmental monitoring during both construction and operation periods compliance to the measures defined in the EIA report of Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP.) by the objectives to

1.Monitoring environmental impact protection and mitigation measures of the project implementation environment.

2.Conducting environmental monitoring of coastal sea water quality, quality of groundwater, surface water, and water from wastewater treatment, air, noise level and coastal climate changes.

3.Maintaining the quality of the environments in Phuket and the surrounding areas.

Services Description

Consultancy Services for environmental quality monitoring including:
•Monitoring the implementation of environmental impact protection and reduction measures during operation period by inspecting the actual measures implementation of Phuket Airport comparing to the measures specified in the Environmental Impact Analysis and Assessment and Monitoring Report together with comments and providing recommendations appropriate and feasible in practice.
•Monitoring the environmental quality during the operation period as specified in the EIA report including those that are offered in addition to the monitoring of environmental quality of Phuket International Airport in the implementation during operation period of the 2004 fiscal year such as monitoring of coastal water quality, groundwater quality, surface water quality, water quality from wastewater treatment (sewage), air quality, noise level and coastal climate changes.
