The Gas Demand Forecast Study in the Greater Gulf of Thailand

Narrative Description

PTT wanted to promote the exploration and development of gas fields owned by PTT. It employed OSAKA Gas Engineering to study the natural gas demand not only in Thailand, but also in the greater gulf of Thailand (Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia). In order to study the exist of natural gas to the region by pipeline in future, the natural gas demand up to 2020 is to be forecast. The study will not only forecast natural gas demand by section and region using the energy forecast model, but also consider the possibility, including the economic feasibility, of converting fuel to natural gas, of newly introducing of natural gas to large energy consuming customers, of introduction of natural gas to IPP, SPP and cogeneration and of expansion or introduction of NGV.
