A comprehensive Study of over-all cost savings of construction and operation of its Stores, Upcountry Concept Stores in Bangkok and Upcountry areas. The Study has been aimed at developing future cost effective stores in upcountry areas. The Study shall comprise comprehensive data collections followed by statistical analyses and design and construction study. The outcomes of the Study will enable Tesco Lotus's management to reach a decision to adopt new concepts in the design and construction of new Stores in order that the stores with appropriate or optimum space and floor use, less construction time and cost, convenient and cheaper to operate are achieved.
Due to the facts that the purchasing powers and total sale volumes in the upcountry markets are considerably lower than Bangkok areas. Therefore, the main objectives of the Study for Upcountry Concept Stores are cost savings on overall construction, maintenance and operating cost. It has been targeted that at least 30% cost savings should be achieved from the results of the Study.
